The Power Blade from GP Golf Innovations is a strength trainer with nice added benefits not found with other products.A weighted club feels heavy on the backswing but provides added momentum on the downswing. The Power Blade actually adds resistance to the downswing. This resistance actually works to build strength needed to release the club much more so than a weighted club.
The Power Blade clips right on your club which is a huge benefit since often weighted clubs have different grips and thus a different feel entirely. This product is made for a 7 iron or longer, not drivers and fairway metals.
The audible part of the experience is a really neat feature. When you release the club with a Power Blade attached you can hear your club head speed. If you tend to cast, or release the club too early, it is incredibly obvious with this product.
This is one of my favorite products to use. It took a while for me to get used to it but the slower I swing it, initially, the more I get out of it as I warm up before a round. After swinging a club with the power blade on it I feel incredibly strong and have a better sense of the release point on the course.
The product comes with a very nice carrying case that will easily fit in your golf bag. Priced at $59.95 this golf training aid is a bargain.
